The experience and technological capability acquired in the space sector throughout the years allow Airbus Crisa to offer state-of-the-art electronic products for most space applications, satellites, orbital infrastructures and space transportation vehicles
Supported by market trend analyses, continuous innovation willingness and R&D investment in technology, Airbus Crisa products evolves to answer our customer’s needs. Our products are able to adapt to specific requirements for different type of missions, from big telecommunication satellites to flexible next space constellations, or from agile earth observation satellites to distinctive scientific and exploration space programs.
Our Solar System

Our Solar System is made up of the Sun, eight main planets, a few dwarf planets, dozens of moons and millions of asteroids, comets and other minor bodies.
We study them in order to obtain a deeper understanding of our origins.
Airbus Crisa participates in active missions to the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter and its moons that will bring insight into fundamental questions such as: how did the Earth and other planets formed? Why are they different? How will Earth evolve? What is the role of water in the evolution of planets and the emergence of life? Or how does the Sun affect life on Earth?
Exploring our universe

When looking beyond our Solar System we first find the Milky Way, our barred spiral galaxy of roughly 150 thousand light-years of diameter.
Its stars may form double, triple or multiple star systems and many host planetary systems too.
As we look deeper into Space we find different sky objects such as the first galaxies and stars along with deep space exotic objects (nebulas, neutron stars, black holes…).
Airbus Crisa instrumentation contributes significantly to these large space observatories as well as to planetary finder missions.
Satellites play a leading role on providing many services to help society.
From their orbit benefits such as the global positioning system (GNSS) or Internet coverage for remote sites on Earth are made possible.
Airbus Crisa electronic units deal with science data supporting accurate weather forecast, air quality and UV radiation monitoring or alert management which are all good examples of how our technology makes the world a better place.

New transportation systems are enabling the Space revolution we are experiencing, making access to space affordable and expanding our ambition to explore other worlds, such as the Moon or Mars.
Airbus Crisa is actively involved in this endeavour thanks to its innovative technologies based on the accumulated experience for over 35 years. European launchers and Orion`s Service Module already benefit from our highly reliable solutions.
A conservative approach based on the reuse of existing flight-proven designs and technologies drove the Space business in the past. However, the need to address more challenging missions and the advent of private companies have turned Space engineering into a more demanding discipline for new technologies.
As part of this transformation, Airbus Crisa is nourishing diverse fields with its innovative solutions and electronics such as advanced electronic components, cutting-edge design and manufacturing tools and processes, new materials for thermal management and electrical insulation, power electronics’ new architectures and digital control.
These innovations have enabled us to provide new solutions in the fields of advanced processing, electronics for active antennas, front-end electronics, and multi-purpose electric propulsion units, among others.
