Our Solar System is made up of the Sun, eight main planets, a few dwarf planets, dozens of moons and millions of asteroids, comets and other minor bodies.

We study them in order to obtain a deeper understanding of our origins.

Airbus Crisa participates in active missions to the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter and its moons that will bring insight into fundamental questions such as: how did the Earth and other planets formed? Why are they different? How will Earth evolve? What is the role of water in the evolution of planets and the emergence of life? Or how does the Sun affect life on Earth?

When looking beyond our Solar System we first find the Milky Way, our barred spiral galaxy of roughly 150 thousand light-years of diameter.

Its stars may form double, triple or multiple star systems and many host planetary systems too.

As we look deeper into Space we find different sky objects such as the first galaxies and stars along with deep space exotic objects (nebulas, neutron stars, black holes…).

Airbus Crisa instrumentation contributes significantly to these large space observatories as well as to planetary finder missions.
